New journey, new book. Writing up a new book, especially to start with the preface should be...perplexing. why? Because the first drop of ink is crucial. The first drop of ink that lays on the notebook shall represent the starting journey of your new life right after graduation. The first drop of ink on it shall pave the path to your future. This means the preface shall be carefully written, once it's written, there is no turning back. The preface shall excite you and others, hence the end shall be promising as well. The dilemma every graduating University student shall face.
I have used up the pages, to the last line, of my previous book that described the journey I've undertaken from my first to my final year. The book that filled with many obstacles, downturns, in high spirit moments and great achievements. Now,the book has closed, wrapped with crossed ribbons, sprayed with the most expensive cologne that you own and it is snugged under your bed until it starts collecting dust. The great thing of "writing" that "book" is that it has an eventual ending. It will surely end the moment we graduate. In fact, the end of the book shall specify the class we achieved.
The question we shall ask ourselves or even myself, what's next? What's the time range of the next book until we do achieve what we really want? What do we really want? and What will be the next goal?
Iman raised an excellent question "If you can do anything you want in this world, what do you want to do? Putting aside the fear of being judged? Even if it is the most demeaning job or the least successful?"
I would say, Gigolo, if i had the body.
At some point, some may pause for a brief moment, to think back and wishing for only you could have known what you really want at a very young age instead of letting the exogenous factors to pave the way for you.
I hope my next book starts really soon, and I shall use the opportunities that falls on me, solely to achieve my one dream. So, start dreaming people, get to know what you really want, and don't despair if its not what you are currently doing. You use the "now job" as an impetus to achieve your one and only dream. Life is short, hence live life to the fullest utility and die with something you greatly have done and not caused.
Sorry eh, sappy sikit :p
